First contestant to enter the finals was Kurt Vanoppen (Carglass) who managed best the disc course. He was followed by Jimmy Vleminx (Madrico), who finnished the box stacking task in minimum time. The three drivers with best overall times in both preliminary rounds completed the entry limit for this last round of the competition. These were Kurt Verlinden (ODTH), Peter Gevers (Lano) and Fréderic Deckers (Carglass). They did not only fight for the title of the best Belgian Forklift Driver, but also for the three tickets to the International Championship held in Germany at the middle of September this year.
Defending Champion Jimmy Vleminx was doing well again and finished on third place. Peter Gevers eked out second. Invincible was Kurt Verlinden, who not only passed theory faultless, but also completed the last course, the "timber task", in an awesome manner. For one year he is rightly allowed now to call himself "Best Belgian Forklift Driver".
Together with Vleminx and Gevers Verlinden will form the Belgian National Team and take part in the International Championship, which will take place on September 15th, 2017 in Aschaffenburg, Germany.
